The Bell Virtual DC is a secure virtual server farm hosted in our Bell data centre. The offering is built on a VMware cluster allowing multiple customer virtual servers to be provisioned on a small footprint of hardware. This pooled resource enables dynamic threshold monitoring and failover capability for all virtual machines. Deployment and recovery times are significantly reduced as snapshots and images can be created seamlessly and efficiently. Bell standard operating systems and applications are supported on the shared Virtual DC offering.

The service is not set up in a public domain but rather offered in our secured network environment. Connection to the Virtual DC can optionally be done via Bell’s private MPLS Network, the largest and most reliable SAS70 certified network available. With no major capital investment, customers can now access a hosting infrastructure solution at a SMB price point.
